Summit County had unemployment rate of 1.9% in 2021

Summit County recorded an unemployment rate of 1.9% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 443 people out of the 42,156 living in Summit County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Summit County has decreased compared to the 2.1% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Summit County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.5%.

Of the 23,076 people who had a job during that time, 14 were employed in the Armed Forces and 23,062 belonged to the civilian labor force.
