Census Bureau: 3.3% of people in Duchesne County identified as multiracial in 2021

Of the 19,651 citizens living in Duchesne County in 2021, 96.7% said they were only one race, while 3.3% said they were two or more races, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained in June.

The most prevalent racial group among citizens in Duchesne County who reported being of a single race in 2021 was white, comprising 88.8% or 17,451 individuals. Following them, American Indian or Alaska Native accounted for 4% and totaled 784 individuals.

The percentage of multiracial residents in Duchesne County is 2.3% lower than the state average, which stands at 5.6%.
