The UBTECH Skills Showcase will be a great opportunity to see students in action and check out what future students will be able to do at UBTech.
- Automotive will be competing in different stations related to the industry
- Cabinetry will be building a structure
- Electrical students will be wiring
- Construction will be building dog houses
- Welding students will be judged on their welding skills
- IT students will be creating a networking system that communicates with the Vernal students
- Culinary Arts will be hosting a seminar with local industry for a learning opportunity
- Healthcare will be having an open-house open to the public to learn about careers in healthcare (nursing, medical assistant, surgical technician, pharmacy technician)
Most of the competitions and activities will be taking place from 9:00am – 3:00pm. Some competitions take longer, like construction and cabinetry, for them to finish their projects and will go into the evening time.
Industry partners will also be in attendance and some will be judging the events. Companies will also be invited to have a booth to display information about their company, products, and career/job openings.
