Summary of Petition:

The Annexation Petition was filed by all owners of property within the proposed annexation area. The stated purpose of

the petition is to annex property which is the anticipated site of a new school to be built by the Wasatch County School

District. The petition includes nine parcels with a total of 45.07 acres with an assessed land value of $414,000.00.

Summary of Protest:

The Protest of Annexation was filed by the owners of property adjacent to the proposed annexation area. The adjacent

property is 62.13 acres in total. The protest alleges that the annexation petition violates state law by (1) creating an

impermissible island or peninsula of Wasatch County by excluding protester's property; (2) creating a situation where two

different political subdivisions would have jurisdiction over separate portions of the same public road; and (3) by

including only part of a parcel of real property in the annexation while excluding the remainder of the same parcel.

Copies of the Petition for Annexation and Protest of Annexation are on file at the Wasatch County Manager's

Office, 25 North Main Heber City, Utah 84032.
